I believe in soulmates. I fell in love with mine when we were just kids. He had a piece of my heart since I was old enough to give it away and when we were just a bit older, he came back for the whole thing. He is my other half, my first love, and my soulmate. We have a passion for supporting others through infertility, as we too shared that battle and have since welcomed 3 beautiful babies into our lives. They are our miracles.

I often say "we" or "us" when referring to Cherie Mariko Photography. While I (Cherie) am the lead photographer and your main point of contact, Maika is the glue that holds it all together. He's my rock and is always pushing me to do more... be more. He handles most of the back-end business aspects of it all so I can focus on my couples and families. He is also fully trained as a second shooter, bag carrier, lighting fixer, and snack bringer. ;)

*Hachi, our yellow lab pup, made us a family of three and we love her to pieces. She's sweet, slightly sassy, and loves getting things in the mail- no, I'm not joking.
*Maika & I were both born and raised in Hawaii. I grew up dancing hula and playing on Hawaiian sands and I couldn't be more grateful for the childhood I had.
*I have watched every episode of FRIENDS and still laugh out loud at the reruns.
*We own way too many pillows than is necessary and I basically live in pajamas.
